Client Commitment and Ethics:

 

Clients need to be confident that information disclosed to ADrecruit during the course of an assignment will remain confidential. To ensure that this is the case:

• If there is a possible conflict of interest between clients or potential clients, it will be immediately disclosed to both parties.

• ADrecruit professionals will not discuss client matters in a public place nor disclose client information to third parties.

• ADrecruit will maintain the security of client papers and communications.

Clients need to be kept informed as to progress on their assignment:
• Candidates and clients will be updated continuously as required on the status of their search and informed immediately if there are any obstacles or issues impairing ADrecruit’s delivery of the candidate search.

Clients need to be clear that we represent their interests:
• ADrecruit will not send unsolicited resumes to clients.

• In salary negotiations, we need to represent the client’s best interests and be fair to the candidate.

• ADrecruit will not offer the same candidate to two clients at the same time (parallel processing).

Clients need to be clear that their name will not be used disrespectfully within another client’s or candidates company:
• ADrecruit will not disclose the name of a client to a candidate until the client agrees this is appropriate.

Clients need to be confident in the quality of work delivered and the fit of the candidate with the client organisation:

• To support this, ADrecruit offers a minimum guarantee that if the appointed candidate leaves the client without reasonable cause within at least three months of joining, then ADrecruit will conduct a second search at no fee. Approach Direct Recruitment offices are free to exceed this minimum.

What are Employability Skills?


Employability skills have been defined after extensive collaboration with business by the CBI (Confederation of British Industry’s). They are a set of attributes, skills and knowledge that all labour market participants should possess to ensure they have the capability of being effective in the workplace – to the benefit of themselves, their employer and the wider economy.

Employability Skills Include the following:

Self Management

readiness to accept responsibility, flexibility, resilience, self-starting, appropriate assertiveness, time management, readiness to improve own performance based on feedback/reflective learning.

Team Working

respecting others, listening, co-operating, negotiating/persuading, contributing to discussions, and awareness of interdependence with others

Business & Customer Awareness

basic understanding of the key drivers for business success – including the importance of innovation and taking calculated risks – and the need to provide customer satisfaction and build customer loyalty

Problem Solving

analysing facts and situations and applying creative thinking to develop appropriate solutions.

Communication & Literacy

application of literacy, ability to produce clear, structured written work and oral literacy – including listening and questioning.

Application of Numeracy

manipulation of numbers, general mathematical awareness and its application in practical contexts (e.g. measuring, weighing, estimating and applying formulae).

 


Our Workshops


Our workshops are designed to help students take control of their career direction.  We will deliver a service that can fully equip students with confidence to present their skills positively when applying for vacancies. Our workshops will allow young adults to identify their individual attributes and skills while helping them to understand how to utilise their personal skills to their advantage.

The social impact of these workshops are to teach young adults how to be professional within society and ultimately within the workplace.

These workshops are aimed at those who wish to improve their employability skills before they enter work. However, these workshops will need full participation from students.

    • Motivation and confidence building

We believe that success will come from us drawing on our own experiences as a teen through to adulthood. Our best source for material is our own life. While times have changed, there are still themes that are universal and timeless. This is about young people understanding that now its all about them as an individual, they have to start taking responsibility and focusing on their goals.

    • Team Work and Group Exercises

Team work and understanding the role you play within a group at work is very important skill that young people need to recognise before they eventually start work. The key elements would include; respecting others, listening, co-operating, negotiating/persuading, contributing to discussions, and awareness of interdependence with others.

    • First Impressions

Your appearance and behaviour speak volumes about who you are. Knowing how to convey the right image and message about you will boost your confidence and maximise your career prospects. We will provide students with the opportunity to make a difference. With our expert advice and guidance we can positively spark ideas, thought and inspire!

    • CV Workshop

The CV workshop has been designed to allow the individual to identify successes that should be included on their CV. They will also learn key skills on how to make a good impression via their information CV using their own Unique Selling Points (USP’s). The do’s and don’ts regarding information provided, professionalism, layout and content.

    • Interview Preparation/Skills

This section has been designed to prepare the individual for interviews with potential employers and will cover:

• Preparing for interview (key elements to consider and remember)
• Likely questions to arise during the interview
• Tips on Closing questions
• Following up an interview (feedback)

    • Mock Interviews

This allows young adults to receive experience and feedback after the mock interview before they experience the real thing. This will be done in either a group setting which will allow feedback, engagement from peers or on a one 2 one basis for those who may not be very confident at this stage. We recognise that not everyone is the same!

    • Effective Job Search/ the hidden job market

The Perfect profile website has been designed to help potential young candidates build knowledge of online job searching. This will demonstrate how to apply for jobs and what tools could be used to their advantage.

This workshop will offer young adults a stronger understanding and knowledge on how to identify the opportunity that suits them. The workshops also cover where to look for particular vacancies depending on the individual’s interests and ambitions.
